Dear Students,

We are excited to announce that we will be offering three courses for you in the summer semester of 2022.

In the Bachelor program, the course Business Analytics: Technologien, Methoden und Konzepte (BA) is waiting for your participation, where you will learn the basics of data-driven decision support, predictive modeling, supervised machine learning, and various implementation examples using the programming language Python.

For our Master students, we offer the course Business Analytics: Case Studies (BACS) in which you are challenged to work on a specific use case right away. This course offers students, who already have a fundamental understanding of business analytics and machine learning, the opportunity to deepen their knowledge by developing data-driven processing pipelines and applying modern learning algorithms to solve real-world problems from research and practice.

Additionally, we offer our Master students the possibility to attend our Business Analytics: Research Seminar (BARS). In this research seminar, students will get to know business analytics as a scientific research field. In introductory block lessons, students will learn about the process of developing research ideas, strategies to efficiently pursue these research ideas, and guidelines on how to clearly convey their ideas in a research paper. Students will also get to know the publication process of research papers.

Since the number of participants is limited in all courses, it requires a registration via StudOn (BA Bachelor, BACS Master, BARS Master). The registration period is between February 21 – April 25, 2022. All courses will be held together with my colleague Prof. Dr. Mathias Kraus by providing you with lecture contents and practical hands-on sessions. We make sure that all successfully registered students (present in Nuremberg or online) have the chance to participate.

If you are interested in our teaching program, we will be glad to welcome you to our one of courses and we are looking forward to meeting you soon.
